Alban Lendorf to dance as Guest Artist in English National Ballet’s Coppélia

Alban Lendorf, principal dancer at The Royal Danish Ballet, is to appear as Guest Artist in English National Ballet’s upcoming production of Coppélia when he will dance the role of Franz to Tamara Rojo’s Swanilda.

Alban Lendorf, hailed by the New York Times as “one of the world’s most exceptional dancers” and winner of the 2013 Benois de la Danse award, last appeared with the Company in Etudes, 2013.

Coppélia; the perennially popular ballet about Franz who falls in love with a life-like doll, and his resourceful girlfriend, Swanilda, choreographed by Ronald Hynd, runs from 23-27 July at the London Coliseum.

Shiori Kase and Yonah Acosta make their debuts on the opening night followed by appearances by Erina Takahashi and Fernando Bufalá and Fernanda Oliveira and Dmitri Gruzdyev.
