Join us on Thursday 10 November when we will be livestreaming our Reimagining Classics: A Panel Discussion via Facebook Live from our studios starting at 7.30pm GMT.

Featuring a distinguished panel that includes our own Artistic Director, Tamara Rojo and Music Director Gavin Sutherland, alongside Almeida Theatre’s Associate Director Robert Icke (Oresteia, 1984) and the V&A’s Senior Curator Mark Evans (Botticelli Reimagined), and hosted by journalist Sarah Crompton, Reimagining Classics will discuss the importance of revisiting classic works in order to keep them alive and relevant for new generations.

The discussion will also conclude with a Q&A, so we are asking anyone that has a question for the panel to tweet us using #AskENB handling us in (@ENBallet).

Reimagining Classics comes ahead of our sold out London performances of Akram Khan’s reinterpretation of the iconic ballet Giselle.

Artistic Director Tamara Rojo said; “Ballet, and art, has the potential of interpretation and reinterpretation, and this is vital to drive our art form forward. My vision for English National Ballet has been to introduce new works that push the boundaries of ballet, for both the Company and audiences, while at the same time honouring and reinvigorating traditional works that have become so loved over the years.”

Reimagining Classics is part of our Friends’ events including talks, rehearsals and masterclasses, to offer an exclusive behind-the-scene experience. Become a Friend of English National Ballet today.
