On Monday 17 March, dedicated friends and supporters of English National Ballet will gather at the iconic Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane for the Company’s biggest fundraising Gala of the year.
This year’s Enchanted Garden theme will set a magical scene for an ethereal performance of The Four Season’s choreographed by First Artist Van Le Ngoc. Created for and first performed at the City of London Festival in 2012, Le Ngoc’s choreography is set to excerpts from the renowned score by Vivaldi.
Guests will also delight in seeing Associate Artist, George Williamsons, dramatic Firebird. Set to Stravinsky’s marvellous score with stunning costumes by David Bamber, Firebird is one of the four works honouring the 100th anniversary of the Great War in our Lest We Forget programme showing at the Barbican in April.
We are also very honoured to welcome back one of English National Ballet’s closest friends, Natasha Kaplinsky who will once again host this magical event.
‘I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting this years Enchanted Garden Gala. Having hosted this glittering event for many years, I can honestly say that English National Ballet’s Gala is not to be missed! It is an extremely glamorous and glitzy evening and gives you the perfect opportunity to directly support the future of the Company and also witness an exclusive ballet performance in the most intimate and dazzling of venues – The Dorchester. Do not wait a minute longer to book your tickets!’ Natasha Kaplinsky
The Enchanted Garden Gala serves as a very important event for the Company with every penny raised during the evening directly supporting the future of English National Ballet. A staggering £150,000 was raised at last year’s glamorous Arabian Night’s themed event and over the past year these funds have had a crucial role in supporting the commissioning of new productions and the expansion of our schools and community access programmes.
English National Ballet are incredibly grateful for the continuous support of the Dorchester and Laurent Perrier once again this year.
