Dance for Parkinson’s Professional Development Opportunity

English National Ballet invites all dance artists, musicians, health professionals and other practitioners that are interested in sharing an open dialogue about artistic approaches to dance and music for people with Parkinson’s, to our two-day professional development course.
With the successful launch of our Liverpool Dance for Parkinson’s programme in partnership with Merseyside Dance Initiative (MDI), the course aims to enhance and inspire participant’s practice, to engage people with Parkinson’s in dance, music and other cultural activities.

The course will include a guest speaker from Parkinson’s UK, sessions on how to construct a class, how to combine musical and movement elements, approaches to teaching and an overview of the award-winning research being conducted by University of Roehampton.

The course will be held on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December 2013, 10am – 5pm at Fire Fit Hub, Upper Warwick St, Liverpool, Merseyside, L8 5TS.
