Dance is the Word is back

Calling all aspiring dance writers and journalists!

Once again, English National Ballet is running the three day, thought-provoking dance writing course, Dance is the Word, facilitated by The Times dance and theatre critic Donald Hutera.

Develop your skills in article and feature writing while gaining exclusive access to the behind-the-scenes world of the Company through interviews, access to rehearsals and the opportunity to follow the development of Engagement projects for feature articles on English National Ballet’s Blog .

In 2014 course participants will gain an insight into English National Ballet’s Emerging Dancer Award with a chance to watch the dancers in rehearsal, and interview the Emerging Dancer finalists before writing a review of the performance.

This course enables you to hone your dance analysis and interpretation skills and put into practice new interview and enquiry techniques, offering a springboard for launching a career in dance writing and journalism.

Our newly launched Alumni programme also enables course participants to continue their relationship with English National Ballet, writing feature articles for the blog throughout the year.
